Current Trends in Instructional Technology
Artifact: The Future of Education and an Emerging Technology
Skills Acquired: Familiarity with Learning Theories and Augmented & Virtual Realities
Reflection
We studied different learning theories and how they inform education. We also looked at new and emerging technologies and their effectiveness in education. I created my first AR presentation on France and completed a research paper on language education in the age of technology. It was a fascinating research project.
S.3.3 ASSESSING/EVALUATING
Candidates use multiple assessment strategies to collect data for informing decisions to improve instructional practice, learner outcomes, and the learning environment.
Prob in Instructional Design
Artifact: Canvas Course for Hillsborough Teachers during COVID
Skills Acquired: ADDIE Instructional Design Process, Storyboarding, Articulate
Reflection
We designed this course using ADDIE as our model to help teachers in the year of COVID. As ADDIE dictates we started by analyzing our target population and we designed our initial prototype and storyboard. Then we started to develop the course once our client (professor) approved. Then we implemented and evaluated the course with various iterations. Teachers provided feedback via Google Forms and short interviews. Take a look at our final project to view the results of our design and evaluation process.
